Reporter's Guide

Reporter's Guide helps journalists and other media professionals to cover stories from the global south in a more diverse manner and to avoid stereotypes. It also raises awareness among the public about global development issues. The guide is available in English and in Finnish.

Information about the site

This is an open access media literacy education hub hosted by the Finnish Lifelong Learning Foundation, Kvs. The media literacy training materials, which you can find in English, Finnish and Arabic, have been produced in collaboration with both Finnish and international partners.

Media Guide and its accompanying pedagogical materials have been produced as part of the Kvs Foundation's media literacy programme in Palestine. The programme supports the building of Palestinian civil society by strengthening media literacy training.

The local partners are Birzeit University's Media Development Center (MDC) and University of Bethlehem's Institute for Community Partnership (ICP). The programme has been funded by the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

Reporter's Guide was published as part of a joint global development project by the Kvs Foundation, The Finnish Foundation for Media and Development and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.
